We are delighted that you may be joining us at the White Water Inn. We hope the following F
uestions may assist you on your visit to our lovely Moonstone Beach.
- What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Our office is open until 9:00 pm each evening. If you will require a late check-in (after 8 pm), please call us by 7:00 pm so that we can determine your requests for the complimentary Continental Breakfast you will receive in the morning and make arrangements for you to have access to your room when you arrive after the office is closed. Check-out time is 11:00 am. Early Check-in or Late Check-out are impossible to determine in advance because we rarely know in advance when another guests departure or arrival times may be, plus the additional time necessary required for our immaculate housekeeping.
- Deposit, Payment Method, and Authorization Policies
We will require a valid credit card to reserve your room, and charge the first night plus tax to hold as a deposit. Deposits are fully refundable, per our cancellation policy, as long as changes or updates are made in advance of 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. You may change your payment card, or pay by cash, upon arrival. A valid credit card will be authorized upon arrival for $100 as a standard hotel policy- the authorization is not a formal charge and will not post to your statement. We are pleased to accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
- Are there any other additional costs or fees?
The standard room rate is based upon double occupancy. Additional fees may apply for additional guests. The county requires an Occupancy Tax of 12.195% to be posted for each night. A utility fee of $2.00 per room is also included in your nightly rate. We welcome dogs for a $40 fee per pet, per stay.
- What is your cancellation policy?
Should your travel plans change, please call us to cancel or reschedule your reservation as soon as possible. Cancellations made before 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival are fully refundable. In the unlikely event that you must cancel or shorten your stay within 72 hours prior to your arrival, please understand that you may be responsible for your entire reservation.
- What is included with the continental breakfast?
We are pleased to provide a Continental Breakfast delivered to your cottage room each morning. Enjoy breakfast in bed with a selection of fresh baked breads; muffins, fresh fruit, juice and your choice of fresh coffee, decaf, hot chocolate or choose from a variety of hot tea selections. Gluten free items may be available with advance notice but not guaranteed.
We are proud to be one of very few dog-friendly hotel accommodations on Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA. We do require advance notice of dogs, as well as completion of our Dog Waiver upon arrival to the hotel. There is a $40 Pet Fee per stay, per pet. We reserve the right to charge additional damage fees for any damage caused by your pet during the visit.
Cambria and the surrounding areas are generally dog-friendly. Leashed dogs may walk on the Moonstone Beach Boardwalk, but are not permitted on the actual sandy beach. Our favorite recommendations for local dog beaches are at Hearst State Beach, Shamel Park in Cambria, and the Cayucos Dog Beach Park.
- Can I reserve local attraction or event tickets with you?
Because of the variety of times and options associated with visits to Hearst Castle, Winery Tours, Kayaking, Horseback Riding and so many other events we do not wish to lock you into a time or date that could compromise your fluctuating travel schedule. We are pleased to recommend a wide variety of activities, attractions and events, but recommend you utilize the variety of links provided on the site to ensure the tickets or commitments made are consistent with your availability, rather than our whim. Restaurant reservations are recommended, particularly on weekends, summer months and holidays, and we will be pleased to make reservations for you on the date and time you specify, just ask!
- Do you provide any Roll-Away beds or cribs?
The White Water Inn is family friendly. Exploring the tide pools, attractions and events are a great way for a family grow closer while visiting our charming Village. However, guest rooms with a King Bed are best suited for no more than two persons, and rooms with Two Queen Beds up to four persons. We do not provide Roll-Away beds or cribs.
